Among the magnificent constructions erected on the Paseo de Montejo, one stands out as the second most important in the City of Merida.

Known as the Casa Peón de Regil, it was built by order of Pedro Regil, a rich and powerful landowner, in 1905. Located on Calle 35 de Paseo Montejo, with a neoclassical style and columns in different styles, its facade carved in stone makes of this house one of the most visited. Due to its great architecture, it is one of the greatest attractions of the City.

At the time it was the home of the person who ordered it to be built, however today it is the headquarters of the Inbursa corporate offices.
