In the main square you can visit two Mayan buildings restored, the pyramid and the palace of the stucco. These buildings are dated to the Early Classic period, between V and VI centuries AD C., but also found evidence of later occupation, with carved stones Puuc characteristics.

In this place, as in MéridaTho, highlights the importance of conservation of ancient monuments for the enrichment of the face of modern populations, in addition to their rescue increases the tourist population.

On the east side of Main Plaza is a colonial church built in the sixteenth century, on whose altar they worship the Virgin of Guadalupe.

This village is one of the few examples exist of the Guadalupe cult in the peninsula, however widespread in the rest of Mexico. In the middle of the park, located west of the square you can observe deer statue, honoring the native name of this town.

Here you will also find architectural monuments such as: the former convent and church of the Virgin of Guadalupe, built in the late sixteenth century church of Our Lady of the Nativity, built in the sixteenth century. It also has archaeological monuments: Canicab, Poxilá and Ekmul.

There are nine wells and two caves in the municipality.

The archaeological zone is open weekdays from 08:00 to 17:00 hrs.
