Chumayel - Convent Route.

Chumayel is one of the 106 municipalities that make up the Mexican state of Yucatan. It is located east of the state and approximately 70 miles south of the city of Merida.

It has an area of 45.99 square meters, her name is interpreted as "place where the gourd does not burn."

Generally has a flat specification, has no relevance hilly, its soil is composed of steep rocks, is also known for its cattle, its forest and agricultural. The town belongs to the Northern Yucatan hydrological region.

It is also a place where their water resources are provided mainly by underground streams and caves cenotes, which are very common in the state.
